Issue 21: Quality of life; The little things that matter.

This
time we catch up with the growing My Home Life movement from around the
world, we remember the ‘little things’ in life that cost nothing but
make the biggest difference and we hear about the important research
that underpins the vital work you do.
In this issue we hear from residents, relatives and staff about their experiences of what makes them feel good…
- Maggie, (Care Home resident) feels good when, “staff bring me a lovely hot water bottle which helps me sleep”.
- Debbie, a care home manager shared with us that she feels good when, “Laura (a care home resident) and I have a cuppa together on my breaks in the warmth of the conservatory”.
- Charlie, a grandchild of a resident told us, life feels good when, “ I get cuddles from my granny”.
