We want the regulator to fix care now

Time to put care into the care system

Care Needs Care Now – a WHICH campaign.

Our care system is at breaking point. People are struggling to find
a good care home when they desperately need it. With demand for beds
set to rise, the time for action is now. Help us convince the regulator
to confront the care crisis before it’s too late.

Many of us will encounter the care system at some point in our
lives. But the current system isn’t working. Too many people are
struggling with a lack of choice or stuck with a care home that’s
failing to meet their needs.

Right now, the care home population is already bigger than the City
of Manchester. But it’s set to grow rapidly over the coming years. With
some parts of the UK already failing to meet the demand, we need action
now in order to tackle the current and future national shortages.

That’s why we’re calling on the Competition and Markets Authority to confront the creaking care system.
